The Law Firm of Andreas Coucounis & Co LLC successfully represented C.A. Papaellinas Ltd before the Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition

The Law Firm of Andreas Coucounis & Co LLC successfully represented C.A. Papaellinas Ltd before the Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition in its notification concerning the creation of a joint venture company along with HOB House of Beauty Ltd in line with Article 10 of the Control of Concentrations between Undertakings Law of 2014.

The joint venture consisted in the creation of a new company between C.A. Papaellinas Ltd and HOB House of Beauty Ltd, namely BC BUTTERFLY COSMETICS LIMITED, which would exclusively deal with the import, distribution and sale in the Cypriot market of the beauty products of Coty Inc, a multinational beauty products company.

The Cypriot Commission for the Protection of Competition went through its thorough review process and unanimously decided to declare the above concentration (creation of a joint venture company) as compatible with the functioning of competition in the market.
