Coucounis attends the Enthronement of the New Archbishop of New Justinian and all Cyprus Georgios

On Sunday 8^th January 2023 the partners of our law firm Andreas Coucounis & Co LLC together with our senior consultant had the privilege to attend the Enthronement of the new Archbishop of New Justinian and All Cyprus Georgios in a ceremony attended by the President of Cyprus, the House of Representatives Speaker, Greece’s Archbishop Ieronymos II and Greece’s Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, as well as representatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, of other Christian Orthodox Churches but also of other denominations.

The partners of the law firm of Andreas Coucounis & Co LLC have a long-standing relationship with the Church of Cyprus, dating back to the friendship between the founder of the law firm, the late Andreas Coucounis, and the late Archbishop of Cyprus, Chrysostomos II, whose remarkable work and reforms  transformed the Church of Cyprus and whose funeral was attended by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in his first ever visit to Cyprus and by the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

On the same evening the partners of the law firm had the honour to also attend the official dinner held in the Hilton Hotel Cyprus to mark the occasion of the Enthronement of the new Archbishop of Cyprus.
