Pre-Moot Event organized by UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire) CYPRUS’ School of Law and the Cyprus Arbitration & Mediation Centre

The CEO of the law firm of Andreas Coucounis & Co LLC, Mr Tasos Coucounis, was invited to participate in the Arbitrators’ Panel of the Pre-Moot Event organized by UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire) CYPRUS’ School of Law and the Cyprus Arbitration & Mediation Centre.

The Pre-Moot Event gave the opportunity to the participating law students to present their arguments and be subject to intense questioning by the Arbitrators Panel in preparation for their participation in the oral arguments rounds of the 24^th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition (https://vismoot.pace.edu/) which take place in Vienna, Austria, in early April 2017.

This was a fascinating event as Mr Tasos Coucounis was very keen on participating in mooting competitions during his student years and saw this as a unique opportunity to experience the hard work that goes into judging such events.

The law firm was honoured to have its CEO selected as one of the 3 Arbitrators of the Pre-Moot Event, a fact that further stresses the importance given by its lawyers in assisting the law student community and the university community of Larnaca in furthering their aspirations.
